| Abstract: |
| In response to the environmental and safety issues arising from tailings accumulation associated with mineral resource development in China, this paper systematically discusses the necessity and potential of tailings resource utilization. Based on an analysis of the current status of tailings resources in China, the article reviews technological progress in two main directions: re-separation and comprehensive utilization, while identifying major obstacles currently faced at the technological, policy, and market levels. The study ultimately proposes that a comprehensive tailings resource utilization system should be established through strengthened technological research, improved policy frameworks, promoted industrial integration, and enhanced international collaboration, thereby supporting the green, low-carbon transformation and sustainable development of the mining industry. |
