| Abstract: |
| With the exacerbation of global climate change issues and the proposal of the "dual carbon" goals, the zinc smelting industry, as an important part of the non-ferrous metal industry, is facing tremendous pressure for carbon reduction and transformation challenges. This article combines the current situation of China"s zinc industry to explore in depth the pathways and methods to achieve the "dual carbon" goals. Firstly, the article clarifies the phased dual carbon development goals of the zinc smelting industry, putting forward key measures including increasing the proportion of recycled zinc, innovating technologies to reduce energy consumption, and promoting carbon capture and utilization technologies. Secondly, it systematically reviews the low-carbon technological pathways of zinc smelting, including carbon control at the source, carbon control during processes, recycling of resources, and end carbon sequestration, and provides a detailed analysis of the advantages, disadvantages, and development directions of pyrometallurgical and hydrometallurgical technologies in zinc smelting. The discussion also focuses on the crucial role of large-scale, automated, and intelligent low-carbon equipment in driving the green transformation of zinc smelting. Looking forward, the article outlines the future direction of low-carbon development in zinc smelting, providing theoretical support and technical references for the research and promotion of low-carbon technologies in the zinc industry. |
